The Battle of the Five Armies is inarguably the most padded of the Hobbit trilogy, and Thorin’s “dragon sickness” arc is exhaustingly contrived. That being said, the action is very gripping and once Thorin’s company gets into the fight, the movie really picks up. Galadriel, Elrond, and Saruman get to kick some ass too which was fun to see.
